Description
The Radley takes two 240 litre wheelie bins off the front of the house and puts them behind a tidy grey timber screen. The lid lifts on the front edge so the bin lids clear it when you drop rubbish in, and the two front doors open wide so the bins wheel straight in and out on collection morning. There is no floor, so the bins sit on your existing driveway or paving and nothing collects underneath.
The frame is planed pressure-treated softwood, clad in horizontal slats with a deliberate gap between each board so air moves through and smells do not build up. Boards are factory-finished in a soft charcoal-grey exterior paint. The lid is boarded and felted with a small overhang so rain runs off the front rather than down the doors, and both doors have black powder-coated handles.

Care
The painted finish needs no treatment in the first season. Hose the slats down twice a year, touch in scuffs from bin handles with exterior paint, and re-coat every three years. Keep the slat gaps clear of leaves so the store keeps venting, and oil the hinges once a season.
