Description
The Hollins keeps two adult bikes out of the rain and out of sight without giving up half the garden. The lid lifts on long strap hinges so you can drop a bike straight in from above, and the double front doors open the full width so you can wheel it back out without lifting. Closed, it is a tidy timber box against a house wall; open, it swallows two hybrids, helmets and a track pump.
The frame is planed pressure-treated softwood with 12mm tongue-and-groove cladding and a sloping felted lid that throws water off the back. The floor sits on bearers so the tyres are never on wet ground. Both the lid and the doors carry a black hasp and staple, so a single padlock through either point secures the store. Everything is pre-cut and pre-drilled and goes together with a screwdriver.

Care
Give the store a coat of exterior wood stain or oil in the first year and a re-coat every two to three years. Wipe the hinges and hasps with a light machine oil once a season so they keep working through winter, and check the felt on the lid each spring for lifted edges.
